Yes, and that is usually the right way to build it. A camera at the gate approach verifies visitors before the gate opens, and door access events can be matched to video. Designing the pieces together costs less than bolting them on one at a time.
Should we start with cameras or access control?
It depends on the problem you are solving. If the issue is who can get in, start with access control. If the issue is knowing what happened, start with cameras. Many properties phase it: control the doors first, then add coverage.
Can you take over or expand a system someone else installed?
Usually, yes. We service existing gates and operators from all major brands, and existing cabling and hardware can often be reused. We sort out what is salvageable during the site walk-through.
